PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2000-04-24 NOTE = "Description of the CALIB directory contents for the 120-Color Lunar NIR Spectrophotometry Data archive" END_OBJECT = TEXT END CALIB Directory Contents The CALIB directory contains calibration data needed to convert the spectra in this archive to bi-directional spectra. See the file DOCUMENT/CALIB.TXT (or CALIB.HTM) for more information. The following files are found in this directory. CALINFO.TXT - The file you are reading. JBADHR.TAB - The original J. B. Adams directional hemispheric Apollo 16 soil 62231 data used to calibrate the telescopic data in this archive. The first column is wavelength in nanometers; the second column is directional hemispheric reflectance. JBADHR.LBL - PDS label that describes JBADHR.TAB. JBADHRWC.TAB - J. B. Adams directional hemispheric Apollo 16 soil 62231 data that have been wavelength corrected. The first column is wavelength in nanometers, the second column is wavelength-corrected directional hemispheric reflectance. The wavelength correction algorithm is based on interlaboratory comparisons for several samples. The function used was an inverse tangent relationship in energy space yielding a correction of between +10-15 nanometers in the 0.9 to 2.6 micrometer region. The error in the visible is negligible. JBADHRWC.LBL - PDS label that describes JBADHRWC.TAB. RELABBDR.TAB - Bi-directional reflectance data for Apollo 16 soil 62231 used for Clementine calibrations, obtained in the RELAB at i=30 degrees, e=0 degrees. The first column is wavelength in nanometers, the second column is bi-directional reflectance. See Pieters, 1999 [PIETERS1999]. RELABBDR.LBL - PDS label that describes RELABBDR.TAB. CORRBDR.TAB - Correction factors that should be used to convert the 120 channel lunar data to bi-directional reflectance. The first column is wavelength in nanometers, the second column is the correction factor. These factors include both the wavelength and the geometry corrections. The 62231 reflectance data were resampled to the wavelengths of the 120 channel data to produce these correction factors. Since the J. B. Adams data required wavelength corrections, there are no directly measured values for the last three channels. CORRBDR.LBL - PDS label that describes CORRBDR.TAB.
