    RELAB's Nicolet Nexus 870 FT-IR spectrometer, which makes measurements
    in the near- to far- infrared, consists of the Nicolet 870 Nexus
    interferometer, the Pike AutoDiff Diffuse Reflectance Autosampler,
    and the Continuum Microscope system.  Transmittance measurements of
    solids, liquids, or gases may be made using the interferometer.  Off-
    axis biconical reflectance measurements of multiple samples under a
    purged environment may be made using the Pike attachment, which operates
    from 1 to 50 microns.  The Continuum Microscope system, which operates in
    both transmission and reflectance modes, produces an image data cube by
