The directroy structure is ENVIRONMENT (cleanroom, tvac, etc) | |-STANDARD (or SAMPLE) | | | |-YYYY_MM_DD_hhmmss.csv, .lbl | Raw spectra in dn with comments that describe the setup and | collection environment. Values are Digital Number (DN). Environments: Cleanroom __________ ChemCam calibrations carried out in the cleanroom which are being provided to the PDS consist of Test #6 in Table 7 of Wiens et al. 2012, Space Science Reviews, and Table 1 of Wiens et al., 2013, Spectrochim. Acta B. These are essentially equivalent tables. For this test, all standards were observed in a sample chamber containing 7 Torr (930 Pa) +/-15% of CO2 at room temperature. The distance from the instrument to the standards was 3 m in all cases. The laser was configured to provide maximum power but due to the fact that it was at room temperature, well above its optimum design temperature of -10 C, the energy per pulse was approximately 10 mJ. The instrument was not refocused between standards. A titanium plate was installed with each group of standards in the sample chamber for comparison purposes. One or more of the demultiplexer dichroic mirrors was/were changed after both the Cleanroom and TVAC tests. Nominal corrections were made to the processed data by applying different instrument optical response functions. Further details are provided in Wiens et al. 2013.
