Release 16. ------------------------- This release includes new Derived HEND Data acquired between October 1, 2005, and December 31, 2005, along with revisions of all previously-released HEND products acquired between March 1, 2002, and September 30, 2005. The data have been reprocessed to make corrections for background influenced by changes of Cosmic Gamma Ray flux as a function of solar cycle. The changes are described in the file grs_hend_processing.pdf in the document directory. The file dataset.cat in the catalog directory has been revised. The files grs_hend_processing.pdf, bad_data_timeline.txt, and references.txt in the document directory have been revised. April 3, 2006. Release 15. -------------------------- The DHD data product for September 27, 2005, was not included in this release. The GRS Team is recovering the product. It will be included in the archive as soon as it is available. January 1, 2006. Release 14. ---------------------------- Between April 3 and April 6, 2005, the Odyssey spacecraft was in safe mode, so GRS data is missing for those dates. Solar events on May 16-17 and June 17-18, 2005, were also responsible for some data gaps. See the file bad_data_timeline.txt in the document directory for details of data gaps. The files bad_data_timeline.txt and references.txt have been added to the document directory, and the file time_conversion_tables.pdf has been updated. October 1, 2005. Release 9. --------------------------- There are no errors to report for this release. August 31, 2004. Update to Release 8. --------------------------------------- The complete set of DHD data has been revised to correct an error found by the GRS science team. A change was made in the adjusted_XX_counts fields of the DHD. In the original data release the adjusted counts were incorrectly subtracted. The background counts as reported in the DHD are in counts/sec and the raw counts are in counts/collection interval. No adjustment for the different units was made before the subtraction. This error has now been corrected, and adjusted counts are correctly reported as adjusted counts per collection interval. This update affects all files in the 2002 and 2003 data directories. July 1, 2004. Release 8. ------------------------ 1. This is the first release of Odyssey Derived HEND Data (DHD) products.
