ARCHIVE VOLUME SLRM_90XX:

This document contains comments and errata concerning the EARTH-BASED 
DUAL-POLARIZATION 12.6-CM RADAR MAPS OF THE MOON Archive Volume SLRM_90XX. 
It is divided into sections based on the nature of the errata comments: 
1.0 Known Errors and Anomalies; 2.0 New File Additions; 3.0 Modifications to 
Existing Files.  New comments are added at the end of each section as 
appropriate.

1.0 KNOWN ERRORS AND ANOMALIES
  The calibrated SCP and OCP backscatter coefficient values are consistent 
  over numerous radar observing periods, but are systematically lower (by a 
  factor of 6-10 in power) than values measured by previous investigators. 
  The reason for this remains uncertain. Ratios between the two circular 
  polarization channels are well calibrated, since they depend only upon 
  determination of the relative noise power in the two received channels.

  The Arecibo system has an inherent pointing error that can cause offsets 
  of the transmitted beam from the desired location on the lunar surface. We 
  have attempted to correct for this offset using an iterative fitting 
  process that matches the locations of the first beam nulls in the 
  delay-Doppler image, but some errors may remain. These manifest as darker 
  or brighter arcuate patches along part of the edge of a mapped area.

2.0 NEW FILE ADDITIONS
  2016-03-10
  The seventh and final set of data products has been added to the archive, 
  along with a new finder map, sband_finder_map_7.tif. The archive includes 
  all of the data collected through 2015.

  The sixth set of data products has been added to the archive, along with 
  a new finder map, sband_finder_map_6.tif.

  2016-01-14
  The fifth set of data products has been added to the archive, along with 
  a new finder map, sband_finder_map_5.tif.

  2014-08-13
  The fourth set of data products has been added to the archive, along with 
  a new finder map, sband_finder_map_4.tif.

  2014-04-24
  The third set of data products has been added to the archive, along with 
  a new finder map, sband_finder_map_3.tif.

  2013-01-17
  The second set of data products has been added to the archive, along with 
  a new finder map, sband_finder_map_2.tif. 
  
3.0 MODIFICATIONS TO EXISTING FILES
  2016-06-06
  The file SBAND_20N292_ANG.LBL had an incorrect value for LINE_SAMPLES. 
  The SBAND_20N292* files in the index table also had the same error. This 
  error has been corrected. The correct value is 15046.

  2012-02-21
  SAMPLE_TYPE was found to be incorrect in all PDS labels. This value has 
  been changed from IEEE_REAL to PC_REAL.
  
  2011-09-07
  The values listed for the RECORD_BYTES keyword in all PDS labels in the 
  DATA directory were incorrect. This error has been fixed.
