Overview
========

This bundle contains the following collections.

  data_brightness_temperature: Derived brightness temperature images
  
  data_badpixel: Bad pixel maps

  data_flatfield: Flat field images

  document: Descriptions of the LWIR brightness temperature data products 

  document_catalog: Set of PDS3 catalog files 
  
  miscellaneous: PDS3 index tables

The Clementine LWIR brightness temperature images were originally archived in
PDS using the PDS3 standard, which has now been replaced by the PDS4 standard.
These data have been migrated to the PDS4 standard by including PDS4 labels for
each image, along with collection and bundle products. The format of the image
files have not changed from the PDS3 version. Each image file still has an
attached PDS3 label.


Data Products and PDS Labels
============================

Every product in this bundle is accompanied by a PDS4 label in a file with the
same name as the data file, but with the extension ".xml", as PDS4 labels are
written in XML (Extended Markup Language). The labels may be viewed in a text
editor or web browser, preferably one that applies special formatting to XML
files to make them more readable. The PDS4 labels may also be read or parsed by
software that can interpret XML.

Documentation
=============

The bundle has as a pds4 migration notes product in the document collection that
summarizes the changes and errata related to the PDS4 migration. The original
PDS3 documentation file (volsis.txt) is also included in the bundle.

The PDS3 catalog files have also been included in the document_catalog
collection to supplement the information in the volsis.txt file.
