INDEX.TAB 

This is a table with one row for each data product in the archive. The 
table includes information about each product that may be useful for searching
the set of products.  The table is an ASCII file. It may be loaded into a 
spreadsheet or data base program for ease of searching.

Each line in the index table consists of a set of fixed-length columns
delimited by commas. The associated label file tells the start byte, 
number of bytes, and data type of each columns. Character fields are enclosed 
in double quotation marks (").
