Bundle Overview =============== This bundle consists of two collections of raw ASCII data, from three months in 1975, and documentation for the Suprathermal Ion Detector Experiment (SIDE) and the Cold Cathode Ion Gage Experiment (CCIG; also known as the Cold Cathode Gage Experiment) which were two components of the Apollo 12 Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package (ALSEP). The collections are: - Apollo 12 ALSEP ARCSAV SIDE/CCIG Raw Cleaned ASCII Data Collection (1975-093 to 1975-182): Contains 90 daily ASCII tables of raw measurements data acquired by Apollo 12 SIDE and CCIG instruments from 03 April to 01 July 1975. This collection also includes one ASCII table of SIDE- and CCIG-related command verification data. These ASCII files are transformations of raw binary data extracted from NASA's original daily Apollo 12 ALSEP Archive Tapes (known as ARCSAV tapes) spanning April to July 1975, then cleaned for obvious bit errors. - Apollo 12 ALSEP ARCSAV SIDE/CCIG Raw Cleaned ASCII Document Collection (1975-093 to 1975-182): Contains a document that describes the ASCII products in the data collection above. It explains the file formats and references publications that are relevant to understanding these data. This collection also includes the Fortran programs used by the data provider to transform the raw binary SIDE/CCIG data to ASCII for this archive and a one-page sheet of SIDE calibration data.
