INTRODUCTION

The DOCUMENT directory contains documentation that is considered to be
either necessary or useful for users to understand the archive data
set. Documents may be included in multiple forms (ASCII, PDF, HTML
with image file pointers, etc.). Included are the following documents.

The DOCUMENT directory also contains a subdirectory, IMAGES, that
contains image files that are used by some document formats to
display visual and complex information.

DOCINFO.TXT: description of the contents of this directory (this file).

XRSEDRSIS.TXT: The XRS EDR SIS: 'MESSENGER Software Interface
Specification for the X-Ray Spectrometer' in ASCII text format. Only the
text is provided; for illustrations, tables, etc. one of the other
formats should be consulted.

XRSEDRSIS.HTM: The XRS EDR SIS: 'MESSENGER Software Interface
Specification for the X-Ray Spectrometer' in HTML format. Note that, in
contrast to the .TXT version, the illustrations, tables, etc. will
display appropriately.

XRSEDRSIS.PDF: The XRS EDR SIS: 'MESSENGER Software Interface
Specification for the X-Ray Spectrometer' in Adobe Acrobat format. Note
that, in contrast to the .TXT version, the illustrations, tables, etc.
will display appropriately.

IMAGES/IMAGE0<N>.JPG: JPG image referenced by the HTML documents. N is a
number used to distinguish the files.

IMAGES/IMAGE0<N>.PNG: PNG image referenced by the HTML documents. N is a
number used to distinguish the files.
