 Lunar Orbiter Digital Scans and Contructed Frames Archive

   Content Description of the INDEX Subdirectory

The index directory on this volume contains information about the
data products stored within this archive. The index files
(index.tab) are designed for easy ingestion into most Data Base
Management Systems.  Fields are separated by comma delimiters and
string fields are enclosed in double quote characters (").

index.tab - Each index is organized as a table
with each row containing information for each data product (image
file) and each column an attribute of the data product. The
information in the table include the volume identification, directory
location, file name, browse directory and file name, estimated
latitude and longitude parameters, and other information defining
the data products.

index.lbl - The PDS label file contain a detailed description of the
image index table (index.tab). The label can be accessed and viewed
within an editor so that a user can determine the contents and
organization of the table or it can be used within PDS tools to
access and view the table contents.
