High-level Description: Loose, grey basaltic vesicular a'a fragment from Lava
Butte. Clast is less vesiculated than aa clast1 (images 1235-1241), with
smaller vesicles averaging 2-4 mm across. Internal morphology is dependent in
part on vesicle structure, with pinnacles showing the former borders of
vesicles (images 1246, 1247). Clast has a lacy, honeycomb internal texture
superimposed on the sub-resolution-grained matrix. Fresher surfaces display a
glassy texture.
