Clast is less vesiculated than aa clast1 (images 1235-1241), with smaller vesicles averaging 2-4 mm across. Internal morphology is dependent in part on vesicle structure, with pinnacles showing the former borders of vesicles (images 1246, 1247). Clast has a lacy, honeycomb internal texture superimposed on the sub-resolution-grained matrix. Fresher surfaces display a glassy texture. Texture Grain morphology and appearance: Grains are sub-resolution. Grain size and sorting: Grains are sub-resolution. No sorting evident. Grain fabric: Random orientation; unimodal. Sediment structure: None. Color: Grey.
