Grains are sub-angular to sub-round, with most looking lumpy, almost botroidal. Textures are pitted and grainy, and non-vesiculated. Lapilli are black to reddish-brown in color. Grains are closely packed together, with no material observable between them. Texture Grain morphology and appearance: Very angular to sub-angular, sub-spherical, scoria clasts in a clast-supported matrix. Grain size and sorting: Poorly-sorted clasts averaging 2 mm diameter Grain fabric: Random orientation. Sediment structure: None evident. Color: Black to reddish-brown.
