High-level Description: Unit 4. A lag deposit comprised of coarse lapilli (~7
mm). 90% of lapilli are dark grey, sub-angular, frothy, vesiculated scoria,
and 10% are smooth, white, and sub-rounded. There is no distinct layering, and
clasts are in a very thin, light grey ash matrix. Juvenile material, 75%.

Texture
  Grain morphology and appearance: Dark grey, sub-angular, vesiculated scoria
in a clast-supported matrix.  Smooth, sub-rounded white grains comprise 10%.
  Grain size and sorting: Poorly-sorted clasts 5-10 mm diameter
  Grain fabric:  Random orientation.

Sediment structure:  None evident.

Color:  Black to grey with a few white grains.
