Poorly sorted grains, both accretionary (90%) and clastic (10%). Clastic lapillus-sized grains are white, smaller (~2 mm), smoother, and rounder than accretionary lapilli. Accretionary lapilli are 2-7 mm and sub-spherical, composed of coarse ash. Texture Grain morphology and appearance: Grey, granular-textured (gritty) accretionary lapilli mixed with lighter, smoother grains in coarse, somewhat glassy, pitted ash grains. Grain size and sorting: Poorly-sorted accretionary lapilli 2-7 mm diameter mixed with white clastics 2 mm in diameter, in coarse (0.2 mm) ash. Grain fabric: Random orientation. Sediment structure: Parallel lamination. Color: Grey, black, white.
