Scoria is angular, with rounded edges and very vesicular. This clast is dark grey with rust-red stains. Vesicles are evenly-distributed throughout the clast and are nearly spherical, except in areas where they interfere with each other. Vesicles are as large as 2 mm, although most are around 1 mm. Opal is primarily concentrated on ridges between vesicles, and occurs in hemispherical clusters. Texture Grain morphology and appearance: Very vesicular, angular scoria with rounded edges.
