High-level Description:  Profile of accretionary lapilli in matrix. Lapilli
average 4-7 mm across. Lapilli look box-like in profile and are more resistant
to erosion than the matrix, rising above it by ~ 3 mm. Ash grains in the
lapilli are 0.1 mm, sub-round to round, vitreous and tan to black with several
red clasts. There is also a white precipitate on some lapilli that may be
silica-rich.

Texture
  Grain morphology and appearance: Accretionary lapilli in a granular-textured
ash matrix. Lapilli average 4-7 mm across. Lapilli look box-like in profile
and are more resistant to erosion than the matrix, rising above it by ~ 3 mm.
Ash grains in the lapilli are sub-round to round, vitreous and tan to black
with several red clasts. There is also a white precipitate on some lapilli
that may be silica-rich.
  Grain size and sorting:  Ash grains in the lapilli are 0.1 mm; grains are
poorly-sorted.
  Grain fabric:  Random orientation.

Sediment structure:  None.
