Sequence of 5 poorly-sorted, light grey or brown laminae. Laminae consist of 10% olivine crystals, 10% red scoria, 40% black scoria and 40% buff scoria. The sequence includes two coarse layers of angular clasts (sub-mm to 1.5 cm) between three less coarse layers (sub-mm to 2 mm). Texture Grain morphology and appearance: Small, angular to sub-rounded grains in a clast-supported matrix, organized into laminar layers. Laminae consist of 10% olivine crystals, 10% red scoria, 40% black scoria and 40% buff scoria. Grain size and sorting: Poorly-sorted clasts sub-mm to 2 mm diameter in less coarse layers; sub-mm to 1.5 cm in coarser layers. Grain fabric: Random orientation. Sediment structure: Parallel lamination. Color: Black and buff scoria, intermixed with red scoria and olivine crystals.
