Angular to sub-rounded, poorly-sorted unconsolidated fragments, 100 microns to 5 mm in size. Basalt grains appear to dominate, some vesicular but most blocky. Reflectance is high in natural light. Texture Grain morphology and appearance: Angular to sub-rounded; grains are dull and somewhat rough in texture. Very few vesicular grains are present. Average size is 900 microns. Grain size and sorting: Fine sand up to very coarse pebbles; very poorly sorted. Grain fabric: Random orientation. Sediment structure: none.
