Intermediate geologic context - img 3837, 3838
Scoria samples from a pit dug through the deposits of the 1959 eruption of
Kilauea Iki. Scoria are nearly unweathered, very angular and glassy, with
clast size and vesicularity varying with distance from the source vent.
