532 nm laser fed through a 50 um pinhole and then collimated. A series of nd filters were between the laser and pinhole. One of the nd filters was removed for the four experiments where the grating did not scan directly over the line. Overlap of data at grating steps near the ends of each dataset was done in order to self-calibrate the ND filter. Experiments were perfomed with the collimator uncovered to input signal to the instrument and with the collimator covered to measure the stary light entering the instrument from the lab. Files "M_0_1000_hg10.rec" and "V_0_1000_hg10.rec" were used to compare the grating scatter between the VIS and MUV channels. A hg pen ray lamp was used for this comparison. file nd filters covered collimator scat_1b 3 no scat_1d 3 yes scat_1e 2 yes scat_1f 2 no scat_1i 2 no scat_1j 2 yes M_0_1000_hg10.rec 0 no V_0_1000_hg10.rec 0 no
