PROCEDURE: The instrument is aimed to observe at 30degrees a white reflectance screen, illuminated normally by a 1kiloWatt FEL lamp at a distance of 48cm. First a set of 50 dark scans is obtained. Next, a set of 50 background scans is obtained by placing an obscuration between the lamp and the screen. Thus, the instrument views a screen illuminated only by light scattered onto it from the room. A set 50 spectral scans is then obtained of the lamp-illuminated screen (no obscuration). Finally a set of 50 dark scans is obtained again.
