Open Loop Data ============== Data Collection --------------- On 97/224, 1 hour and 12 minutes of 1-way open-loop data were acquired at DSS 45. The data were transfered to Stanford yesterday and fully processed. The data were obtained following a retransmission so there were no missing records. Anomalies --------- There was a large (up to 2 dB peak-peak) carrier amplitude modulation with a period of approximately 35 seconds in the final 25 minutes of the open-loop recording. There was also a longer period (7 to 9 minutes) amplitude modulation throughout the recording with peak-peak variation of approximately 0.5 dB. There were analog-digital conversion anomalies at quantization values ending with strings of binary 0's and 1's as described in a recent Instrument Health Report. Analyses -------- The USO frequency was estimated to be 8423152962.01 Hz. The drift rate of the USO continues to be approximately 0.182 Hz/day.
