The situation should improve as MGS moves away from the Sun. They have not run the temperature models out as far as Mars yet, however. KaBLE will be turned on for a two hour test on Friday morning. I have asked that the DSP be put in the link so that we can see if there is any interference. We should be able to do it, but I don't want to create any conflicts with Sal installing the new DSP software. The Allan deviation is about 3 times larger on day 341. This leads me to suspect that the KaBLE may well be interfering with the stability of the x-band signal. The snr was lower on day 341, when KaBLE was on, but this should not have made any difference at the integration times we're using. We'll know more after the tests in January.
