The zero degree mark occurred early on day 314. Regarding the S/C systems, they were turned on 24 hours before the first launch window, which means they were on about 48 hours prior to launch. The USO was turned on at about 24 hours after launch, unlike on MO where it was powered up prior to launch and remained on thereafter. I remembered the very low temperatures just after launch, but didn't remember the exact sequence in which systems were powered up. On another subject: what exactly is happening on the spacecraft between about 11h and 15h? We see increases in most of the temperatures we monitor starting about 11h; then about 15h whatever is happening stops and the temperatures slowly decay back to "normal". This has been going on for a month or so. If there were an attitude change, I'd expect some HGA activity. You mentioned MOC bakeout for a couple days in January, but I gather that was completed quickly. A couple times I've looked at the SOE and haven't seen anything. Idle curiosity isn't getting me anywhere... Charles Whetsel said that every day about the time you are seeing the temperature increases, the Ka band is turned on until the temperatues of the RF components get too hot and then they are turned off. Eventually, when the sun input gets lower, we won't have to cycle Ka band. Hope that helps, Carl
