We are currently doing a retransmission of the few missing records. This ORT simulated four complete orbits. Once again, we used the scripting capability of remote operations. We set up all of the occultations at one time, and just watched the scripts execute. The scripts will be ftp'd to my directory on mgrs. (The format will be the same as last time. I didn't have a chance to talk to Jennifer about changing the time format as Joe Twicken requested.) We are still working on the ftp problem which is preventing us from using Radio-Science-generated predicts. We did generate predicts for the ORT, and we will compare our predicts with the DSN predicts. This is the final capability necessary for mapping operations. The SOE for this test is c1003.00.soe. Thanks to everyone who made all of the RS ORTs run smoothly. -Trish ----------------------------------------------------------------- From trish@rodan.jpl.nasa.gov Tue Aug 12 15:20:58 1997 Received: from rodan.Jpl.Nasa.Gov (rodan.jpl.nasa.gov [128.149.43.24]) by magellan.Stanford.EDU (8.8.5/8.8.3) with ESMTP id PAA28248 for ; Tue, 12 Aug 1997 15:20:58 -0700 (PDT) Received: from 128.149.43.27 (trish-mac.jpl.nasa.gov [128.149.43.27]) by rodan.Jpl.Nasa.Gov (8.8.5/8.6.6) with SMTP id PAA03636; Tue, 12 Aug 1997 15:21:30 -0700 (PDT) Message-Id: <199708122221.PAA03636@rodan.Jpl.Nasa.Gov> Date: 12 Aug 97 15:23:23 -0700 From: Trish Priest Subject: Extra USO data To: David Hinson , Richard Simpson , Joe Twicken , Len Tyler CC: Tom Thorpe X-Mailer: QuickMail Pro 1.0.2d1 X-Priority: 3 Reply-To: Trish Priest Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Length: 462 Status: O Hello, Last night (I guess that it was this morning, actually) after the ORT was completed, the transmitter at DSS 45 had problems. The station ended up going one-way for the remainder of the pass, so I took the opportunity to collect more USO data. TLM and ranging are both on. This was DSS 45. Times: 1997/224-10:55:00 to 1997/224-12:07:09 I left time to retransmit before the end of the track, so there shouldn't be any missing records. -Trish
