RSSG personnel reported apparently low SNR during real-time data collection; our SNR values are normal. Data from occultation 8537i (DSS 15, start time 2001/034-14:59:00) have a 1 dB increase in carrier level 3-4 minutes before ingress. This lasted about 1 minute. It was not seen in data collected simultaneously at DSS 45. Data from the following occultations were captured by two ground antennas simultaneously. Data from occultation 8549i (DSS 45, start time 2001/035-14:32:00) have +/-0.5 dB fluctuations in carrier level prior to ingress. This presumably results from ground antenna operation at low elevation angles.
