The Spacecraft Team is looking into possible causes; there is no immediate concern for either spacecraft or payload health. Meanwhile, the MGS PSG meets at JPL today; Dave Hinson is representing the Radio Science Team. Problems in obtaining channelized DSN Monitor data from the MGS CDR query server have continued (see HEA1248A.TXT). Of roughly 70 hrs of data expected over days 244-247, we had been able to locate only about 12 as of this morning. Our call to Data Control last night resulted in no change; but we called again this morning, and some of the missing data from 244 are now in hand. In the meantime, we submitted ISA Z72214. Except for providing general indicators of DSN performance, the Monitor data are not especially important now. But, when occultation data are being collected, we use the system temperature channels to calibrate for absolute signal power.
