Jess Glance forwarded the following update on the MGS Contingency Mode recovery as of early Saturday: MGS (via mz132b) will begin orienting to NADIR pointing around DOY-251/05:58 SCET. Several significant eng./reconfig. RT commands and analysis will also occur between now and then. PDS checkout (memory readout etc.) is delayed until early Sat a.m. as well. SCT/MPST plans to generate & uplink a miniseq. that emulates the SSR_1 & 2 playbacks which would have occurred via the C-mode-cancelled background sequence. That is to say, SSR_1 playback can be expected around 252/00:01 and SSR_2 around 253/00:01. As of 251/08:00, S/C 2k Eng. Telem. is coming down. Automatic collection of channelized DSN Monitor data netted only about 250 kB from 2001/250 (see HEA1249A.TXT), but we have submitted a new query which seems to bringing in more.
