Authorization to submit an MCR was granted at the last RST meeting. Sami reports on progress: I have been working with the MGS project seeking additional tracking coverage to meet the RS Team's interest in this time period and geometry, regardless of the formal MCR. It turns out to be a very difficult period with Odyssey and Genesis in tough competition with MGS for DSN coverage. The good news is: MGS is still getting (for their telemetry needs) a minimum of 10 hours per day and there are days that can be as much as 16 hours. In late October, there will still be good coverage but not in two-way, as we get into the MSPA (multiple spacecraft per aperture) mode.
