Miscellaneous ============= Georges Balmino reports additional details on the explosion near GRGS in Toulouse: The explosion made a crater 60 meters wide, 15 meters deep and it engendered a 3.4 earthquake (recorded in Strasbourg, and felt as far as Normandy)! About six thousand apartments and houses are completely or partly destroyed (this is the case for several of our co-workers or friends or relatives) and many more show serious cracks. Unbelievably, there are "only" 35 dead and about 1200 wounded (~50 in critical state) according to the official information. It would have been much worse, had the people not been at work outside of their home (it took place at 10:30 am).
