LMA did not have accurate timing information for many of the AMDs during this period. They will hopefully give you a better starting point for your own analyses, if needed. (Note that some AMD times near the start of contingency were never derived by us.) The AMD times listed below are S/C event times in "ET" (UTC + ~64.18 seconds). These times were derived using the AMD file amdgen.01-251_254 delivered by Oliver Walthall, using his e-mail describing their accuracies, and then fiddling with the AMD times until the Doppler data fit well. Note that these times are more consistent with a time in the middle of the AMD time span rather than at the end of it. The four AMD times given below were derived with no a priori information from LMA. They were completely derived from Doppler data. 7-SEP-2001 08:02:24.18 7-SEP-2001 14:38:24.18 7-SEP-2001 21:38:04.18 8-SEP-2001 03:51:09.18 The rest of the AMDs were derived using the file amdgen.01-251_254_reva 8-SEP-2001 15:42:54.18 8-SEP-2001 22:13:39.18 9-SEP-2001 05:09:04.18 9-SEP-2001 11:45:44.18 9-SEP-2001 18:00:49.18 10-SEP-2001 00:42:24.18 10-SEP-2001 07:23:04.18 10-SEP-2001 13:38:04.18 10-SEP-2001 19:46:04.18 11-SEP-2001 02:49:04.18 Notes: ~~~~~~ 1) These times are not exact. They are just the best we could do with the limited information and work time available. They should be much more exact than what is on the AMD file, though. (Remember that Oliver just put the AMD time at the end of the possible time interval during which they occurred - he had no better information.) I hope that some of them may be accurate to within a minute, but several others could be far less accurate. 2) The AMD given at 9-SEP-2001 00:26:19 UTC (DOY 252) on the AMD file does not exist (at least not as a spin-axis AMD). 3) The AMD listed above at 10-SEP-2001 19:46:04.18 ET is missing from the AMD file. There appears to be a real (spin-axis) AMD around this time. 4) the AMDs at 10-SEP-2001 07:23:04.18 and 10-SEP-2001 13:38:04.18 occurred in a large data gap; times may be very poorly determined.
