This note was circulated by the Facility Operations Manager at GSFC Building 33: We now have a report of another small snake in building 33 "A" wing on the first floor. The first snake of several weeks ago, seen in the women's restroom and later captured there, was identified by Code 205 as being a copperhead. A copperhead is one of four venomous snakes in North America. The potency of the venom is not dependent on the size of the snake. The most recently reported critter has the same description. If you see a snake in the building please notify Security right away to facilitate safe capture and removal ...
