A small number of DSS 43 recordings have the same affliction. All ingress occultations are obscured by the HGA rewind. These start with occultation 12612i (DSS 15, 2002/002-20:20:00) and repeat every 117 min until occultation 12624i (DSS 54, 2002/003-10:53:00). The first HGA sidelobe during the rewind can no longer be seen, consistent with its occurence behind the planet and our nearing the end of this interference. There are also clear surface reflections prior to the HGa rewind. Data from occultation 12620e (DSS 43, start time 2002/003-10:36:00) have carrier level fluctuations of +/-0.5 dB. The HGA rewind is not visible in the recording of occultation 12620i at DSS 43 (start time 2002/003-12:02:00). Apparently end-of-track was reached before the maneuver began, and the spacecraft drifted out of the ground antenna beam. Occultation 12624e (DSS 63 and DSS 54, start time 2002/003-18:27:00) shows a pronounced 'ripple' 2-3 minutes after egress. The 'ripple' is a leakage uplink ramp, and has been seen in other data but not this strongly and not this close to the occultation.
