PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2002-04-16 NOTE = "MGS RST Instrument Health Report HEA2106A.TXT" END_OBJECT = TEXT END Miscellaneous ============= Yesterday's report (HEA2105A.TXT) noted that there was no signal in data collected from DSS 15 late on 2002/103 and early on 2002/104. Aseel Anabtawi reports there was a late real-time change in antenna coverage and that DSS 25 actually covered MGS while DSS 15 was reassigned to support Cluster 1. This decision never percolated down, so the RSR remained connected to DSS 15 and Aseel believed it was working normally based on the (weekend) monitoring she was able to carry out. All four occultations scheduled for DSS 15 were lost. We have submitted ISA Z75110. We included a note in yesterday's report (HEA2105A.TXT) noting its absence. We later queried a second time and had no trouble acquiring the data. There was, however, no carrier because of the switch in antenna assignments (see Miscellaneous, above). The first and last occultations in the DSS 65 pass (13866i start time 2002/105-09:06:00 and 13872i start time 2002/105-20:52:00) had SNR ~1 dB lower than expected, presumably because of low elevation angles. Data from DSS 45 occultations 13874i through 13877i (start times 2002/106-00:48:00 through 06:41:00) were lost due to a scripting error.
