PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2002-05-02 NOTE = "MGS RST Instrument Health Report HEA2122A.TXT" END_OBJECT = TEXT END Miscellaneous ============= Gene Brower has distributed a "lessons learned" list from MGS, apparently directed toward MRO. There were some kind words from Pat Esposito regarding NAV collaboration with Radio Science and the value of a USO. Tom Thorpe noted the importance of providing science feedback to everyone from ops and station personnel to NASA HQ. Jesse Glance and Steve Odiorne (LMA) mentioned the difficulties in handling major upgrades and anomalies (such as C-Mode events) with staffing levels appropriate for very routine operations. TES was the only science team to offer lessons learned (two). This is seven pages and a little dry; but copies of the PDF file can be had with a request to rsimpson@magellan.stanford.edu. Data collected from DSS 15 occultation 14071i (start time 2002/122-03:22:00) had a -1 dB drift in the noise level about 90s after ingress. This was the last measurement in the pass. No occultations were collected on two different antennas.
