They are in the process of moving from Building 264 to Building 230 and have been in an unsettled state for most of the past week. Some of their machines are still off-line. Joe Twicken reports that over 333,000 files have been logged in our data system. Over 80% of these are internally generated in the process of obtaining radio occultation profiles; the remainder are either the (input) data or the results. The new MGS Science Operations Planning Computer (SOPC) at Stanford handled most of the data listed in yesterday's report (HEA2147A.TXT). JPL System Administrators would like us to switch to the new machine next week. Most tests yesterday were successful, but some long-standing problems associated with writing CD's and printing remain open. The following occultations were accompanied by 1 dB changes in the noise power after ingress. We have previously correlated one such event with a change in the feed configuration for the ground antenna.
