This health report therefore includes some measurements made over the weekend from DOY 159 through 161 in addition to measurements made on DOY 162. The last two measurements from DSS 54, occultations 14541i and 14542i (start times 2002/160-13:38 and 15:36) had sinusoidal modulation on the free-space carrier over the entire measurement; the modulation could also be seen on the noise level before telemetry turned off and after ingress. The modulation had a period of 60 s and a peak-to-peak amplitude that varied between 2 dB and 3 dB over the course of the measurement. Occultation 14542i was also collected from DSS 65, although the scheduled beginning of the track for DSS 65 was not until 2002/160-15:55:00. Hence the measurement on DSS 65 is only over about 20 s and it is not clear if it captured ingress or if it also had sinusoidal carrier modulation. The following measurement on DSS 65, occultation 14543i (start time 2002/160-17:34:00) had no modulation. Data from DSS 54 occultation 14540i, just before the two measurements with the carrier modulation (start time 2002/160-11:40:00), had a quick -6 dB spike in the free-space carrier amplitude over about 10 s that occurred 4 minutes before ingress. There was a change in noise level after ingress on the following occultations: Occultation Start Date/Time DSS Level Change Time ----------- ----------------- --- ------------ -------- 14546i 2002/160-23:26:00 15 -1 dB 160 s 14548i 2002/161-03:22:00 15 -1 dB 150 s 14557i 2002/161-21:01:00 15 -1 dB 170 s The following occultations had small-scale random fluctuations in the free-space carrier amplitude: Occultation Start Date/Time DSS # Amplitude ----------- ----------------- ----- --------- 14533i 2002/159-21:56:00 15 +/-0.2 dB 14534i 2002/159-23:54:00 15 +/-0.3 dB 14535i 2002/160-01:51:00 15 +/-1.0 dB 14538i 2002/160-07:44:00 54 +/-0.2 dB 14552i 2002/161-11:13:00 54 +/-0.2 dB 14555i 2002/161-17:06:00 65 +/-0.2 dB The following occultations were collected on two different antennas: Occultation Start Date/Time DSS #1 DSS #2 ----------- ----------------- ------ ------ 14530i 2002/159-16:03:00 54 65 14532i 2002/159-19:58:00 65 15 14542i 2002/160-15:36:00 54 65 Closed Loop Data ================ Data Collection --------------- We have obtained the following files from OSCAR and EPIC: Original File Name Name on SOPC ------------------------------------ ------------ ODF: 02160O161_10S.SJO;1 2160161A.ODF TROPCAL: ATC02JUN.CSP;4 2152164A.TRO WEATHER: WEATHER_10_LATEST.TXT;324 20011611.WEA WEATHER: WEATHER_40_LATEST.TXT;324 20011614.WEA WEATHER: WEATHER_60_LATEST.TXT;324 20011616.WEA Ancillary Data ============== Data Collection --------------- We have obtained the following files from the FIS: Original File Name Name on SOPC ------------------------------------ ------------ SAK: mgs_solar_array_2002-160.ck 2160160A.SAK TCK: mgs_spice_c_kernel_2002-160.ck 2160160A.TCK SOE: mm186b.04.tsoe 2163167D.SOE We have obtained the following files from NAIF: Original File Name Name on SOPC ------------------------------------ ------------ AGK: mgs_hga_ck_2002-06-01.bc 2152152A.AGK
