This has been especially true today, explaining the very abbreviated report. We should be returning to normal tomorrow. The MGS Radio Science Team met at CNES in Toulouse last week. Minutes are being prepared and will be distributed separately. No sinusoidal modulation of the free-space carrier amplitude has been observed for any of these measurements. These measurements were collected using RSR2B. One of the measurements from DSS 15 occultation 14607i (start time 2002/165-23:08:00) had carrier gain levels that were 1.5 dB higher than expected. The previous measurement collected from DSS 15, occultation 14606i, had gain levels within the expected range. The last measurement collected in a pass from DSS 34, occultation 14611i (start time 2002/166-06:59:00) had carrier gain and SNR levels about 3 dB lower than expected, possibly due to EOT. The noise level also dropped -3 dB at about 130 seconds after ingress. Two measurements collected from DSS 15, occultations 14630i and 14631i (start times 2002/167-20:16:00 and 22:13:00) appeared to have very slow, weak sinusoidal carrier amplitude modulation over the entire measurement. Occultation 14630i had +/-0.2 dB amplitude and about 312 second period modulation, and occultation 14631i had +/-0.1 dB amplitude and about 410 second period modulation.
