The carrier level returned to normal about 40 seconds before ingress. Data collected from DSS 63 occultation 14859i (start time 2002/186- 13:34:00) had a -4 dB notch in the carrier level that lasted about 20 seconds and that ended about 40 seconds before telemetry turned off. This should have no impact on processing for the occultation profile. Data collected from DSS 63 occultation 14862i (start time 2002/186- 19:27:00) had large carrier level instabilities of up to 7 dB in the first 4 minutes before leveling off about two minutes before ingress. Sample values were about 5 dB lower than expected for the stable part although the max SNR was within normal range. This was the last measurement of the pass. The first two measurements from DSS 34, occultations 14865i and 14866i (start times 2002/187-01:21:00 and 03:18:00), had carrier and SNR levels about 1 dB lower than expected with rather large +/- 2 dB random fluctuations in the free-space carrier amplitude. All five measurements scheduled for DSS 15, occultations 14874i through 14878i (start times 2002/187-19:00:00 through 02:51:00) were lost to a scripting error. All of these measurements were successfully captured at DSS 14, however. The following measurements had noticeably lower carrier level and max SNR values than expected. Maximum SNR values around 48.5 dB/Hz and carrier levels about -5 dB relative to full scale at the A/D converters are considered normal.
