MCR 1303 requested monthly egress occultation observations while the spacecraft is in Beta Supplement mode. During previous occultation seasons, this meant the spacecraft went into fixed high-gain antenna configuration and all occultations (ingress and egress) were captured on the ground for 24 hours. Because of gimbal limitations, no egress occultations can be observed during most of Beta Supplement. The MCR requested that egress occultations be captured after solar conjunction; the "best efforts basis" leaves the implementation and schedule for 2002-3 somewhat ill-defined.
