However, due to a currently unspecified problem with the antenna, measurement 15793i was lost and DSS 43 was used instead to capture occultations 15794i, 15795i, and 15796i. DSS 45 came back online in time to capture occultations 15795i and 15796i. The measurements collected by DSS 45 were reported in yesterday's report (HEA2266A.TXT). Measurements collected by DSS 43 are reported here. Occultation 15809i data collected at DSS 45 (start time 2002/264-05:20:00) had a -1 dB notch in the free-space carrier amplitude over 20 seconds, returning to normal levels 20 seconds before ingress. The first measurement collected by DSS 65 on day 264 (occultation 15810i, start time 2002/264-07:18:00), had max SNR and carrier levels 2 dB lower than expected. Data from occultation 15817i (DSS 45, start time 2002/264-21:02:00) had max SNR and carrier levels 1 dB lower than expected. This was the first occultation of the pass. Data collected from DSS 65 occultation 15824i (start time 2002/265- 10:45:00) had +/-0.3 dB random fluctuations in the free-space carrier amplitude level. Data collected from DSS 15 occultation 15830i (start time 2002/265- 22:32:00) had max SNR and carrier levels 2 dB lower than expected. Data collected at DSS 15 (start time 2002/266-00:29:00, nominally from occultation 15831i) had no carrier signal. Recording began after the end of tracking. Data collected from occultation 15836i (DSS 65, start time 2002/266- 10:18:00) had max SNR and carrier levels 6 dB lower than expected with a -1 dB ramp over the measurement. After ingress, there was a +0.5 dB rise in the noise level over 100 seconds, followed by a 2 dB drop. Data from occultation 15838i (DSS 15, start time 2002/266-14:13:00) had max SNR levels 1 dB lower than expected. Data from occultation 15841i (DSS 45, start time 2002/266-20:07:00) was captured before the beginning of tracking. The measurement has max SNR and carrier levels initially 10 dB lower than expected, gradually improving over three minutes to 7 dB lower than expected before ingress. This occultation was captured without anomalies at DSS 15.
