The official reason was to collect 'NSP demo' data at DSS 24; but we also captured 4 occultations through DSS 24 (one more than at DSS 25, because DSS 24 tracked by itself for an additional hour). Aseel Anabtawi was able to query for TRK-2-34 data from the DSS 24 pass, and we have transferred the 11.5 MB file to Stanford to support software development (mainly PDS labeling) and testing for the new data type. Except for slightly higher SNR at DSS 25 (0.5-2.0 dB) the data appear comparable after quick-look processing. Data from DSS 34 have +/-0.3 dB flucutations in the carrier level (occultation 16909i, start time 2002/354-03:06:00). Data collected using DSS 63 have weak spurs at +/-180 Hz from the carrier. Data from occultations 16915i and 16916i (DSS 15, start times 2002/354- 14:52:00 and 16:50:00, respectively) have very low carrier levels and SNR compared with expectations. Aseel says SNR was very low during a Cassini pass (02:20:00 to 14:15:00). At the beginning of the Cassini pass the station reported winds and rain, then later snow, and finally heavy cloud cover. The MGS symptoms, although seen only after the Cassini pass, are consistent with weather effects. Closed Loop Data ================ Data Collection --------------- We have obtained the following files from OSCAR and EPIC: Original File Name Name on SOPC ------------------------------------ ------------ ATDF: ODF: ODF: 02353O353DEMO_10.SJO;1 2353353A.ODF ODF: 02353O354_10S.SJO;1 2353354A.ODF ODF: AC02345_C1.ODF;1 2345345B.ODF ODF: AC02345_C8.ODF;1 2345345C.ODF IONCAL: TROPCAL: WEATHER: EOP: As noted above under Miscellaneous, we have collected about 11.5 MB of TRK-2-34 data from a DSS 24 NSP demo. 02353O353DEMO_10.SJO;1 is presumably the pseudo-ODF derived from the TRK-2-34. The AC02345* files are apparently VLBI files.
