Another, more subtle, anomaly is long term drifting in carrier level now seen in DSS 15 data, but not when using other antennas. These are typically of the order 0.5 dB and extend over the duration of an occultation recording (typically 6 minutes of carrier time). Such long-term amplitude drifts are not likely to be of any importance to the occultation data analysis; but they may be symptomatic of remaining antenna control problems that should be watched.
