Initially, these fluctuations were small (+/-0.3 dB at the end of 2002), but within the last two weeks, we have had more time scheduled on DSS 54 than previously, and we have noticed the fluctuations growing. They are currently on the order of +/-1.0 dB random fluctuations in both the carrier level and noise level for all measurements captured by DSS 54. The last measurement collected by DSS 15 had a +1 dB ramp in the noise level about 30 seconds after ingress (occultation 17736i, with start time 2003/056-17:14:00). This measurement was also successfully captured by DSS 45.
