Three measurements scheduled for collection by DSS 43 on day 069 were lost due to an RSR usage conflict (17894i, 17895i, and 17896i with start times ranging from 2003/069-15:08:00 through 19:04:00). Aseel Anabtawi has determined that station personnel appropriated the RSR for system performance testing without checking that it would be needed for MGS Radio Science. The first two occultations scheduled for collection on 2003/070 were also lost because the RSR was not returned to its initial state after the tests (see tomorrow's report). Both measurements from DSS 14 had spurs at multiples of 30 Hz from the carrier (occultations 17893i and 17894i, with start times 2003/069-13:10:00 and 15:08:00). The spurs were distinguishable from the noise level at separations up to 150Hz from the carrier. There was a +1 dB ramp in the free-space carrier amplitude for the first measurement captured by DSS 65 on day 070 (occultation 17901i, with start time 2003/070-04:52:00).
