The period of the sinusoidal modulation stayed fairly constant (about two minutes) for all measurements, awhilethe amplitude increased from about +/-0.3 dB at the beginning of the pass to about +/-1 dB at the end of the pass. We could also see modulation in the carrier level before telemetry turned off for those measurements that began recording while telemetry was still on. Occultations affected were 18078i through 18083i, with start times 2003/084-16:02:00 through 2003/085-01:51:00. The second to last measurement from the DSS 43 pass that began on day 084 also had a -2 dB drop in the free-space carrier level over about 1 min that occurred about 1.5 minutes before ingress (occultation 18082i, start time 2003/084-23:53:00). The second measurement captured by DSS 65 on day 084 had +/-1 dB fluctuations in the free-space carrier amplitude over the thirty seconds just before ingress (occultation 18073i, start time 2003/084-06:14:00). The first measurement from DSS 65 on day 086 had a -1 dB rolloff in the noise level immediately after ingress (occultation 18097i, start time 2003/086- 05:18:00).
