The first measurement from DSS 34 on day 088 began before the scheduled start of tracking. Free-space carrier levels were ramping up throughout the measurement and only reached 10 dB lower than expected just before ingress (occultation 18126i, with start time 2003/088-14:11:00). The third measurement from DSS 34 on day 088 had free-space carrier levels about 15 dB below expected for the first 20 seconds of the measurement. Levels jumped up to within the expected range for the remainder of the measurement (occultation 18128i, with start time 2003/088-18:07:00). All four measurements captured by DSS 65 on day 089 had ADC input levels and max SNR levels initially 5 dB lower than expected. By the end of the pass, levels had improved to only 2 dB lower than expected (occultations 18133i through 18136i, with start times 2003/089-04:05:00 through 09:48:00). All five measurements from DSS 14 on day 092 had more severe random fluctuations in the free-space carrier level than usual, between +/-1 dB and +/-2 dB in amplitude (occultations 18173i through 18177i, with start times 2003/092-10:23:00 through 2003/092-18:13:00).
