The carrier signal also fluctuates +/-2 dB during the 6 minutes prior to ingress. However, this recording began 20 minutes before the scheduled start of tracking, so was only captured because Aseel Anabtawi scripts such outliers in case the station is ready early. Data from occultation 19276i (DSS 14, start time 2003/182-13:53:00) show only an extremely weak echo (about 3 dB above the noise after 60 seconds of power spectrum integration and about 60 dB below the nominal level). This occultation was within the nominal track; cause of the signal loss is unknown.
