We also noted that DSN Monitor data had been found for DSS 65, but not for DSS 63. We have since learned that a Microwave Anisotropy Probe mission emergency forced a switch in MGS coverage from DSS 63 to DSS 65. But the Radio Science support Group was not advised of this change, so RSR operation proceeded assuming input from DSS 63. We have submitted ISA Z81515. As a secondary issue associated with the above, we note that there should have been no MGS signal in the DSS 63 output if that antenna were tracking a different spacecraft. The signal, although very weak, comes and goes as the MGS signal should have - in particular, it disappears after occultation ingress on each of the four orbits. The signal is also very close to the center of the passband - as would be expected for the MGS carrier. This suggests coupling of the DSS 65 signal into the DSS 63 circuitry at some unknown point, presumably ahead of the RSR.
