PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2004-01-12 NOTE = "MGS RST Instrument Health Report HEA4012A.TXT" END_OBJECT = TEXT END Miscellaneous ============= JPL system administrators continue to restore missing SOPC application programs, which prevent processing of spacecraft and DSN monitor data. Some SA's have been hampered by the fact that all accounts/passwords were frozen after the intrusion. Stanford personnel continue to make slow progress restoring functions on their side. Another batch of open loop data has been acquired using a work-around available through the JPL Radio Science Systems Group rsops2 computer (see below). Because of unrelated travel (Friday) and the following weekend, this is the first report since HEA4008A.TXT. Engineering Data ================ No new data. Aseel Anabtawi reports that HGA rewind interference with ingress measurements should subside by the first week in February. All of the measurements listed above are egress. We also continue to see small amplitude fluctuations in the ADC input level over about 1 minute for all egress measurements. This has been attributed to solar panel variation. The first three measurements from DSS 14 on day 348 were lost due to a scripting error (occultations 21310e through 21312e, with start times 2003/348-20:54:00 through 2003/348-22:51:00). All four measurements scheduled for collection by DSS 43 on day 351 were lost due to the RSR disk being full (occultations 21340i through 21342e, with start times 2003/351-07:18:00 through 2003/351-09:44:00). The first three out of four egress measurements from DSS 43 on day 352 had no signal (occultations 21353e, 21354e, and 21355e, with start times 2003/07:19:00 through 2003/11:15:00). Cause for this is unknown. The fourth egress measurement had up to +/-10 dB fluctuation in the ADC input level and +/-180 Hz spurs (occultation 21356e, with start time 2003/352-13:12:00). ADC input and max SNR levels were over 30 dB lower than expected for all four egress measurements from DSS 43 on day 356 (occultations 21400e through 21403e, with start times 2003/356-03:34:00 through 2003/356-09:27:00). The first two measurements (occultation 21400e and 21401e) were also successfully collected by DSS 24 at normal signal levels. We were unable to query for any egress measurements from DSS 63 on day 356. The cause is currently unknown (occultation numbers 21406e through 21409e, with start times 2003/356-15:20:00 through 2003/356-21:13:00). Both egress occultations from DSS 34 on day 353 had ADC input and max SNR levels about 30 dB lower than expected (occultations 21365e and 21366e, with start times 2003/353-06:52:00 and 2003/353-08:50:00). The first egress occultation from DSS 14 on day 350 started about 2 minutes late, but the quality of the measurement was unaffected (occultation 21337e, scheduled start time 2003/350-23:55:00, actual start time 2003/350-23:56:54). The first six occultations at DSS 26 on 2003/358 and all eight occultations at DSS 26 on 2003/359 were lost to scripting errors. The first set is 21423e-21425i (2003/358-00:42:00 to 06:07:00); the second is 21434i- 21438e (2003/358-23:48 to 2003/359-06:08:00). The seventh occultation on day 358 was supposedly captured (21426e, start time 2003/358-06:35:00), but we have not found it. Egress occultations from the following passes had frequency spurs in the power spectrum: Occultations Start DOY/End DOY DSS Comments ------------- ----------------- ----- -------------------------- 21313e-21315e 349/349 14 weak +/-180 Hz spurs 21337e-21340e 350/351 14 weak +/-180 Hz spurs 21351e-21352e 352/352 14 weak +/-180 Hz spurs 21362e-21365e 353/353 14 weak +/-180 Hz spurs 21388e-21389e 355/355 14 weak +/-180 Hz spurs 21389e 355/355 43 weak +/-180 Hz spurs 21414e 357/357 43 weak +/-180 Hz spurs Egress occultations from the following passes had uplink ramp leakage in the power spectrum: Occultations Start DOY/End DOY DSS Comments ------------- ----------------- ----- -------------------------- 21313e-21315e 349/349 14 3/4 egresses in pass 21335e-21336e 350/350 55 2/6 egresses in pass 21362e-21364e 353/353 14 3/4 egresses in pass 21372e-21373e 353/353 55 2/3 egresses in pass 21376e 354/354 25 1/3 egresses in pass 21386e-21388e 355/355 14 3/4 egresses in pass 21399e 356/356 14 1/2 egresses in pass The following occultations were captured at two different antennas: Occultation Start Date/Time DSS #1 DSS #2 ----------- ----------------- ------ ------ 21316e 2003/349-06:42:00 14 43 21365e 2003/353-06:52:00 14 34 21376e 2003/354-04:27:00 25 24 21377e 2003/354-06:25:00 25 24 21389e 2003/355-05:58:00 14 43 21400e 2003/356-03:34:00 24 43 21401e 2003/356-05:31:00 24 43 21414e 2003/357-07:02:00 15 43 Closed Loop Data ================ Data Collection --------------- No new data.
